The Assault on Truth
-
As a "recovering" Psychotherapist, I am really excited about reading "The Assault on Truth" since I have seen firsthand throughout my career the toxicity that comes with Freudianism and the brain-washing that has gone on with individuals who are truly committed to helping individuals optimize their joy and maximize their mental wellness, but are drowning in the Freudian based "mental health" system, by which we are trained to get people addicted to rather than healed. I am so happy I stepped out and started to coaching and developed my "brain fitness" program, which focuses on solutions rather than regurgitated theories and therapies that keep individuals surviving, but never get them thriving.

Is everyone kinda reading at their own pace or do we have a target chapter?

just started and I know everyone is wayyyyy ahead. I had never heard of this se--- hypothesis and had to research what that was...so learning Freud backpedaled. Very weird to learn that he evaluated women's firsthand accounts of trauma and chalked that up to fantasy. I woudl think women would be embarrassed to share 'fantasies' involving family members. It's very dark...I'm at the part where he's trying to see what took place during Freud's stay in Paris and the onset of the seduction theory. I hadn't known a lot about Freud. So he does an about face after facing pressures from his peers, Implausibility of Prevalence, repressive nature...just wild how he can pivot so drastically, but I sense I have not even entered the official darkness yet. eeek!
