A child asks his dad “who built me?”
“You did” responds her father
Child :How“?
Father : “ we think our body follows microscopic instructions to build itself cell by cell. The instructions were either created by God, or they are the result of a billion years of experience that gives each creature the instructions build themselves and to do their part in the cycles that sustain them all”
Child: “that’s amazing“
Father: “yeah”
Child: “what about everything else the car the phone the computer did they build themselves?”
Father “nope millions of people had to do their job in order to produce everything we have and get it to us”
Child: “wow”
Father: “yeah”
Slightly older Child: “ if we have millions of people doing millions of different jobs to produce everything we need plus anything we can imagine we want why are people still hating and killing each other?”
Father: “ because that is the price we pay to work together”
Child: “ that doesn’t make sense”
Father: “ because in order to work together, there needed to be an authority, someone who would make decisions about the resources they were able to gather. This job would naturally go to the person with the most charisma and speaking ability who could tell the best tale convincing people that they understand everything so that people would do things with confidence and conviction, they should be given authority. Of course, it helped to have knowledge and understanding that wasn’t available to the people producing the resources. When humans were young they had hardly any knowledge they thought the Earth was flat and electricity was magic. As humans grew and began to produce much more than they needed the amount of resources up for grabs by someone who could convince people that they should be in authority became a motivation for the power hungry that favored the most ruthless because someone with moral constraints would feel bad about exploiting a gap in understanding between themselves and others among other things. Of course claiming authority wasn’t always sunshine and rainbows they had to take responsibility for the experience of the people who made their resources available. Over the years they became a ruthless exploiting class who perfected their art and feared the masses using their power and well too control institutions is making sure that anyone who says that this highly likely scenario could be possible is labeled a “conspiracy theorist.”
Child: “ that didn’t explain why people are still hating and killing each other when we easily produce everything we need”
father “ because keeping us hating, and fearing each other is how they use us to attack each for their power and how they keep us from coming together to demand accountability from them , which would break the knowledge gap that they use to keep us in slavery”
Child: “ so in order to gather our resources together, and build the infrastructure to deliver resources or knowledge anywhere we had to have a ruthless exploiting class that would convince us to hate and kill each other?”
Father: “ remember, every creature with DNA has a billion years of experience telling it what to do to in every situation for its part in the ecosystems that they build to sustain themselves. It was life’s way to build the infrastructure we need to store and process data together and a communication network that allows us to deliver anything anywhere and exchange ideas instantaneously. This will allow us to solve problems and do our part to nurture life and bring the accountability needed to keep one class from keeping information and understanding from another class in order to exploit them.
