"Mormons" catching strays
-
I think your name suits you perfectly—when I hear "Candace," I think "candid." I’ve followed your journey since your hilarious Twitter parody about coming out to your parents as a lesbian… psych… just liking Trump. You’ve always struck me as a straight shooter: transparent, passionate, and uncompromising about the truth. On Friday’s show, it felt like the "Mormons" caught a few strays over their "real estate empire" and the high percentage of members employed at TPUSA. As a devout member myself, I’ll admit I didn’t love the implications but I wasn’t fearful of potential findings. Let me clarify: my church—colloquially called the Mormons and formally known as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints—is the restored church of Jesus Christ. We welcome inquiry, audit, and examination. And despite being the only faith group in U.S. history to face an extermination order on our soil, we never demand special treatment or ask for anyone’s free speech to be curtailed. Our people, like people of all other faiths, are imperfect, but the organization is His. God speed to you in your quest to find answers. You do such an important work and are in my prayers. - Brandi Oveson
