Dear Candace,
Though I've never posted or commented on your forums—primarily due to my introverted nature and the sheer volume of discussions—today, I felt compelled to reach out. I want to tell you how incredibly proud I am that you're recognizing your need for time off and, more importantly, actually taking it.
I witness your unwavering commitment day in and day out, and I see how tirelessly you prioritize delivering truth to your many fans and even your detractors. While, selfishly, I'll miss the hour a day you give us, my pride in you for taking this moment to breathe far outweighs that.
I'm fortunate to assist a female General Manager of a top 5 beauty company, and I understand the grueling schedule, the immense daily pressures she places on herself, and how her drive often makes disengaging a challenge. Like you, she constantly strives to show up for her people, and she consistently does.
My heart aches imagining the struggles you're enduring, all while grappling with the profound grief of losing your beloved friend. So, even if this message never reaches your eyes, please know that although we’ll undoubtedly experience "Candace withdrawals" next week, our compassion, our faith, and our love are with you.
